It was another terrific season to have some Patriot League basketball tickets. No team in this conference won fewer than 12 regular season games, so the middle of the pack in the conference standings was a jumble of good teams that had a shot at making the NCAA Tournament. In the end, only American had what it takes to get to the Dance, and their fans were rewarded with a trip to March Madness. Lately, Bucknell has been getting most of the press, capturing NCAA Tournament bids in 2005 and 2006. Holy Cross won the Patriot League title in 2007, and American won in 2008. The teams in the Patriot League have changed from year to year, but currently the lineup includes American, Army, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy.

In addition to some of the in-conference rivalry games, such as Army-Navy, the Patriot League teams will have tough schedules that pit them against teams in some of the most storied conferences, such as the ACC and SEC.
